I have to thank Shannon at Grunged, Glittered, n' Branded for passing along this award to me. Thank you Shannon.  It is so nice to get recognition for my blog. It is a work in progress and I have far from figured things out, but I am sure having fun with it.  That's what it's all about right?!

The Terms for Accepting the Award Are:

Award 15 recently discovered great bloggers.
Contact the bloggers and tell them about the award.

Here we GO!
7 Things about me :)

1) I am a good friend. I give everyone the benefit of the doubt and I have been burned because of this, but I don't think it is fair to not like someone who has never done anything to me personally.  This is sometimes a fault of mine.
2) I change my mind and I do it often.
3) I am very forgetful.  I blame this on my 4 kids :)
4) I met my husband dragging main in Logan, Ut and the first time I met him I didn't like him.  Just goes to show that you can't always trust your first opinion of someone.  We have been married now for almost 12 years.  And I still don't like him. HA HA! Just kidding! I love the guy!
5) Something most people don't know about me is I can't read a tape measure.  I know shocking!  I have just winged it my whole life and my husband always teases me and says "ah your within an 1/8th that's close enough"  If I am working on something that has to be perfectly laid out he lends a hand.
6) I am a prankster and a HUGE smart ass! I don't always think before I speak and will just blurt out some of the craziest thoughts and opinions. Which brings me to,
7) I am honest. Sometimes too honest. Like I said it just comes out. Most of my friends love this about me, but as I am sure you know some people just can't handle the truth.  Love me or hate me I am going to be me!

Now....Here are the blogs that I have chosen to pass this award on to!

Sorry no picture was available for this blog.

April Sign

I have been so busy working on finishing my basement in my house that I haven't had much time to do any crafts. If I had been thinking I could have taken some pictures and done a "how to" on staining and glazing trim or glazing walls.  I am still not done so maybe there is still the chance for that.  I have an amazing brother in law that works for Salt Lake Mill and he got us a great deal on knotty alder trim.  If you are interested in trim or interior or exterior doors, treads for stairs, or hand rail let me know and I will get you his info.  I should do a whole post just about him.  HMM I wonder if he would share his profits with me?  LOL

Well April is here and so that means a new sign for the porch post.  I was thinking this months would just be something simple...HA!  It took FOREVER applying all that vinyl and getting it straight and repeating the process many many times for the signs I have ordered.  Thank goodness my hubby is willing to lend a hand.  I'm a lucky girl!  Well here it is.  A little different than I usually do but variety is good!

Subway art is very popular right now and I really like it.  I actually bought this layout from My vinyl designer  They offer so many new layouts of subway art.  I also did something new with the paint.  I painted it an off white color, but I am sick of the bright white on my signs so I wanted to make it look old and dirty so I glazed it.  I think the dirty look of the wood looks cool with the bright colors of the vinyl.  HAPPY EASTER!!

Decorative Furniture

This is a shelving unit that we did for my friend Shannon over at Swainston Vinyl & Dezign. She is very creative and TOTALLY AWESOME!!!!!! We built the shelf and she painted it and did this amazing pattern on the back.  She is using it to display all her little craft embelishments.  Makes me want one now, but there is no way that I would have the patience to do all that work.  If you get a chance check out her blog.

Here is a table that we did for Shannon as well.  She painted this herself and she chose to antique it. This table is 5ft if I remember right.

Diaper Cakes!

The front after I added everything

The back

I have wanted to attempt a diaper cake for a long time and I was surprised how simple it is to make one.  My sister in law is having a baby and I used this occasion to try one.  It was FUN!! They are spendy to make though.  This one cost me around $70, but some of that is rubber bands and ribbon that I can use again.  My best advice if you are thinking about doing a diaper cake is plan ahead and buy when things are on sale. And plan on needing more diapers than you think.

Luck and Appreciation

On Thursday, my husband and I were doing a few errands and I told him that I needed to run into Hobby Lobby for a quick minute.  Yes, he knows better than to think it will be quick.  He stayed in the truck with the kiddos and I ran in to get a few items for some projects I have rolling around in my head.

I get to the checkout and the lady behind me has a cart FULL of stuff she is returning.  At first I was thinking how lucky I was that I didn't have to wait in line behind her.  Then she started having a breakdown. I guess she had bought all this stuff and got it home and her husband had an absolute FIT about it and told her she had to take EVERYTHING back!  She was in tears. I don't know what the project was that she was working on but I think she was very disappointed that she wouldn't be able to do it.  Now instead of feeling lucky that I didn't have to wait in line behind her, I was feeling Lucky for a very different reason.  I am so Lucky that I have a husband who understands my craft addiction, supports it, and in many cases he even helps me by cutting out the wood or building tables or whatever people ask us to do.  I appreciate all that he does to support my habits.  Thanks honey you are amazing!

Valentines Day!!

I LOVE Valentines Day! Unfortunately I haven't had much in the way of Valentines Day decorations so this year I HAD to fix that!  Here is what I came up with including this months porch sign.

More Hats!

Here are a few more hats. We LOVE these hats. My 2 daughters wear them almost every day and have one to match almost every outfit.  These are all of ours. We haven't managed to get pictures of every hat we've done but this should give you a good idea of what your options are.  Also just a little add on. We are selling the flowers separately for $2 each.  So now your possibilities are limitless. Enjoy!
